Govt allows 2G ethanol exports with authorisation, certification: DGFT

[ad_1] The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Wednesday updated India’s export rules to allow Second Generation (2G) ethanol to be exported. 2G ethanol is made from non-food materials like bagasse, wood waste, agricultural residues, grasses, algae, and other renewable resources. It is considered eco-friendly as it produces low CO2 emissions and does not compete with food crops for land.The export will be allowed only if companies have a valid Export Authorisation and feedstock certificate from the relevant authority. Organic goods exports can hit Rs 20K crore in 3 years: Piyush Goyal

[ad_1] NEW DELHI: India has the potential to increase exports of organic products up to Rs 20,000 crore in the next three years from Rs 5,000-6,000 crore now, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said Thursday."Currently, our organic product exports are at Rs 5,000-6,000 crore. In the next three years, we can easily achieve Rs 20,000 crore exports, about 3-3.5 times increase from the current level," Goyal said at the eighth edition of National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP).
